This new and exciting post will be part of the Trust's senior leadership team, and provide effective and innovative leadership of the Trust's strategic delivery from a clinical, digital and organisational perspective. The postholder is expected to work collaboratively and across organisational boundaries with a co-design and co-production approach.
Reporting into the Chief Operations, Innovation & Strategy Officer, the postholder will lead on Trust strategy activity with a focus on how we improve health outcomes for the local population. This will include facilitated clinical partnership arrangements, developing new models of care across the Cheshire East place and locality, and support colleagues and leaders across the Trust by providing advice on developing clinical services and associated business plans.
This post is a secondment opportunity for up to 12 months, on a part-time (22.5 / 0.6 WTE) basis.

Main duties of the job
* To lead the development and implementation of Trust strategy - clinical, digital and organisation
* To facilitate any necessary tactical clinical partnership arrangements
* To support the development of the annual planning submission
* To support the Chief Operations, Innovation & Strategy Officer (and through the COO the Chief Executive) in their strategy and partnership work across the Cheshire East place, Cheshire and Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
* To develop through co-design specific elements of the new model of care for significant areas of Cheshire East acute and community service provision taking account of co-dependencies across health and social care provision
* To ensure the continuous development of clinical service strategies and business plans to support the achievement of the Trust's organisational strategy
* Responsible for providing leadership support and advice to clinical and support teams to develop clinical service change proposals and business plans using the post holder's expertise and knowledge of the system wide health and care landscape, in areas where expert opinion differs.

* Educated to master's level in a management discipline or equivalent leadership experience
* Professional qualification or equivalent experience of project and programme management techniques and tools such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects

* Significant NHS Experience working at a senior level in a large complex organisation
* In depth professional & specialist knowledge in a number of disciplines e.g. clinical management, programme management, quality improvement and strategy acquired through training and experience over extended period.

* Experience of providing advice to, and liaising with, managers / staff at all levels, including working with Executive Directors and Senior Clinicians
