AREA MANAGER - DIRECT SALES FACE TO FACE FUNDRAISING Unique Fundraising Ltd is one of the most successful organisations within the Fundraising Industry with over 25 years knowledge and experience in direct sales and fundraising. We are recruiting into an upcoming vacancy as an Area Manager covering the North/East & West of England Area. You will be re sponsible for managing a team of fundraisers across the Areas working on private site, town centres, stores, supermarkets and shows. Unique Fundraising works in partnership with some of the most high-profile charities in the UK, and prides itself on being a market leader in the delivery and compliance of direct sales for the charity industry. The role is offered on a self-employed basis, with a minimum guaranteed earning per week plus bonuses. Managing an established team. We are looking for a strong people manager, who is well organised, a great communicator, has a focus on compliance and is driven to ensure the team meet set targets and perform to the highest of standards as chosen ambassadors for the charities they represent. No previous work history of working in the charity fundraising industry is required; hence we welcome applicants from any industry with strong and proven management capability. Applicants from the retail or hospitality industries would be a great fit, as customer service and sales experience are essential in this role as we would expect you to lead by example and sell to the general public yourself. Essential skills: Must have the ability to manage / coach and support your team Excellent leadership, management and networking skills. Management ability proven with at least 5 years experience (in a sales environment would be advantageous). Excellent training & mentoring skills and the ability to lead by example. Excellent Communication skills - to be a people person and a great communicator with both Head Office staff and your team. To manage and treat team members fairly, consistently and with respect. To act with integrity and deliver a clear and strong message to the team. Excellent written communication skills via email, writing reports and recording on the CRM. Computer literate able to use a variety of Microsoft software packages, such as Word, Outlook, Excel, etc., to produce documents and maintain records and databases, and the ability to adapt and use our bespoke CRM system. Excellent organisation and project management skills to work to set processes and have a disciplined mindset. Driven with the ability to inspire and motivate their team to hit targets. Full driving licence, own vehicle willing and able to travel. Excellent time management with the ability to multitask. Dependable and trustworthy. Must exercise great customer service skills. Self-motivated, focused, and persistent. Must be compliance and quality assurance focused. Duties: Daily management of fundraising staff - co-ordinating team activity & managing the growth in sales across the team to ensure all targets are met. Allocation of fundraiser resources by populating the booking diary to hit targets. Reporting directly to Senior Management liaising with the Senior Management Team on requirements; ensuring excellent 2-way communication. Staff training and development Identifying needs to improve performance & liaising with the compliance team to implement. Motivate and coach staff to achieve set tasks / deadlines. Monitoring the team to ensure industry and company compliance and high standards are met in all respects. Recruiting of new fundraising staff for your team to plan, develop and grow the team across the area - networking to ensure staffing levels meet with the demands of the business. T o interview new fundraisers to assess their suitability. Information Security - to ensure you and all fundraisers are motivated to fulfil and apply information security in accordance with the established policies and procedures and conform to the terms and conditions of their contract for services agreement. Company Paperwork -to comply with all Company paperwork and processes; ensuring all paperwork is fully completed and submitted on time. Carrying out performance management appraisal/ one-to-ones. Writing reports for senior management as required. Responding to customer enquiries and complaints. Ensuring health and safety policies are observed. Attending meetings, conferences, and training. Keep management informed by reviewing and analysing KPIs/ reports, summarising information, and identifying trends.
