What the school offers its staff
We are seeking a colleague with excellent qualifications, who is enthusiastic and dynamic with a strong ambition to build on our success to date. We are looking for a colleague who will work collaboratively with the team, is receptive to innovative practices, and is an inspirational and motivational practitioner. You will also be expected to take an active role in all aspects of the work of the Languages department and the school.
The ethos of the Languages department is one of engagement, enjoyment, excellent teacher/student relationships and expectations of high standards for all students. We are seeking someone who will impart a love of the subject to those of all abilities and backgrounds. New ideas and initiatives are warmly welcomed. A sense of humour and the ability to be a team player are vital.
The department harnesses technology to aid with pupil learning and each classroom has a top ofthe range digital classroom board. Each teacher has access to a set of iPads to facilitate bothwhole class and individual level afl alongside mini whiteboards. In line with the changesannounced to MFL GCSEs this year to reflect the recommendations of the Teaching SchoolCouncil’s (2016) pedagogical review, we are currently redesigning our KS4 SOWs with the support of LDP and are currently in an exciting time in the process.
