Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Technician

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
We are hiring an Apprentice Maintenance Technician to develop into a Mechatronic Maintenance Technician. This new apprenticeship role involves learning a wide range of skills, including safety protocols, preventative maintenance, attending to breakdowns, machinery overhauls, completing remedial correctives, and improving plant availability and reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is carried out, reducing the risk of downtime.
2. Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management.
3. Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities.
4. Have strong analytical skills, supporting fast and effective problem solving.
5. Machine tool experience.
6. Flexibility to support any unplanned maintenance activities as required
7. Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
8. GCSE level qualification or an equivalent
9. A qualification in Information Technology or Systems is preferrable
10. Enthusiasm for manufacturing
11. Possess a positive, practical attitude towards problem solving
12. Willingness to adopt lean manufacturing principles
13. Self-motivated, able to work under own initiative and without close supervision
14. Focused towards working within a devoted and continuously improving health and safety culture
15. Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines

16. Level 3 NVQ in mechatronics.
17. Time served Maintenance Technician.
