Job Title: Locum Dental Radiographer Location: Kent Job Overview: We are looking for a qualified and reliable Locum Dental Radiographer to work within our clinic for a temporary assignment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in performing radiographic imaging for dental diagnosis, ensuring the highest quality standards in line with patient safety and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality radiographic imaging for dental assessments, including X-rays and cone beam CT (CBCT) scans. Ensure the correct positioning of patients for imaging procedures to achieve accurate results. Assist the dental team in interpreting radiographic images to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality and data protection in line with GDPR regulations. Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Ensure that all radiographic equipment is maintained and calibrated according to health and safety regulations. Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort, reassurance, and clear communication throughout the imaging process. Work closely with the dental team to support the clinic's day-to-day operations. Requirements: Qualified Dental Radiographer with relevant certification (e.g., Diploma in Dental Radiography or equivalent). Current registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., Health and Care Professions Council, HCPC). Experience in dental radiography, with a good understanding of the latest imaging techniques and equipment. Strong knowledge of radiation safety and infection control protocols. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy clinical environment. A flexible and adaptable approach, able to work to a locum schedule with short notice periods. Desirable: Experience with Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging.
