A fantastic opportunity for a buyer with civil engineering experience looking to be a part of a growing team working on groundwork projects throughout the southern region.
About the role of Buyer
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a family-run and well-respected groundwork and civil engineering contractor with multiple projects ongoing looking to expand their business. Their current turnover is over £10m.
Responsibilities for Buyer
1. Adapting and following the procurement procedures of the company.
2. Negotiation of deals with suppliers.
3. Research of materials and inventory.
4. Checks into current inventory and materials.
5. Working closely with the commercial team to achieve the best prices for all projects.
6. Attending company meetings.
Requirements for Buyer
1. Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills.
2. Experience within negotiation.
3. Knowledge and experience of the civil engineering sector.
4. Knowledge on logging information within an internal system.
5. Work well within a team.
6. Able to travel to Portsmouth daily.
7. Right to work in the UK.
