The successful applicant will be a skilled, effective teacher, committed to experiential learning, with the ability to engage all young people in effective learning and to manage positive behaviour. Effective communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills, and the capacity for both leadership and teamwork are essential.
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The successful applicant must provide this check. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
