If so, Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an Associate Lecturer to join the School of Social Sciences next Spring Term 2025.
As Associate Lecturer you will teach the module:
1. Psychology of Criminal Behaviour Level 4 undergraduate
2. 30 hours
3. Wednesdays, 6 – 9pm, 10 weeks January to March 2025
You will have knowledge of psychological approaches to deviance, crime and offending. A grounding in critical criminological perspectives on these issues is also required.
Essential requirements for this role are teaching and research experience in criminology and criminal justice.

Remuneration:
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £68.13 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5 which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
Contract:
Fixed term contract, January to March 2025. Teaching Wednesday 18.00-21.00. Closing date: Sunday 1 December 2024, Interview date: Wednesday 11 December 2024.
