The opportunity
Our audit teams work with many of the world’s leading companies. We provide a quality and consistent audit offering to our clients by assembling multi-disciplinary teams to address complex issues, using a proven global methodology and deploying the latest auditing tools. This is a great opportunity to join the fast-growing Belfast Assurance practice. You will be part of a team where you will receive exposure to some of EY's most diverse clients. Your key responsibilities
Everything you'll do will come back to providing exceptional audit activities for our clients. You will be a high-profile contact when it comes to resolving complex issues and will become a credible advisor, influencing clients and engagement teams.
Skills and attributes for success
* Taking a lead on fieldwork, assist in managing the audit process and keeping engagement leaders updated.
* Completing and reviewing audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas.
* Engaging clients and providing authoritative advice throughout transactions.
* Developing understanding of current market trends and sharing knowledge with junior colleagues.
* Understanding clients' unique ambitions and referring them to colleagues in other teams.
To qualify for the role you must have
* ACA/CA/ACCA (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute or equivalent international qualification) - preferably first time passes.
* Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
* Proven track record of outstanding performance and high level of people and business skills.
* Commitment to personal and professional development.
* Proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships.
* A dedication to teamwork and leadership.
Ideally, you'll also have:
* Experience applying UK GAAP and IFRS.
* Experience of working in a similar environment.
