We are currently looking for keen and motivated Nurse to recruit into a Band 6 post. You must be an RN with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience within an emergency department. You will also hold a qualification in Mentoring/Slip. You will be required to have effective leadership skills, good communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and evidence of professional development is a must. The successful candidate will be required to shift lead and maintain the flow of the department in a safe and efficient manner. You will be expected to work across site.
Main duties of the job
You will be joining the emergency departments covering two sites, that currently see on average 500 patients a day (cross site). This is an extremely busy, but exciting time to join the trust as we are currently working towards the new configuration. Both departments consist of Triage/Rapid Assessment, Resuscitation Room, Majors and Minor Injuries/Illness.

The key areas within this role will be to assist the department senior sister/matron in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of services and to provide clinical and managerial leadership for nursing and support staff. There will be an expectation that you can deputise for department senior sister/matron in their absence, with this role you will also be expected to take a lead on clinical practice issues. You will be required to work a 24/7 rotational shift pattern of days, nights, and twilights.
