Our Climate Finance Tracking Program is seeking talented and skilled individuals to support teams in developing high-quality and actionable research and policy analysis. Some of our most well-known projects include the Global Landscape of Climate Finance, which is the most comprehensive inventory of global climate change investment available. ABOUT YOU • You are pursuing, or have recently completed, a degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, economics, finance, public policy). • A background in environment, economics, social and political studies, finance, accountancy, data sciences or engineering that lends a structured and systematic approach to problem-solving (other disciplines are also welcome). • You possess a solution-oriented attitude, striving to find innovative and effective ways to address challenges. • You have a working knowledge of issues in domestic and international climate policy. • You have a passion for analysis and methods, utilizing rigorous approaches to gather insights and inform decisions. • You have a precise, detail-oriented approach to research and data analysis. • You have excellent writing skills and the ability to assist in producing and editing high-quality products. • You are a proficient user of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and able to grasp new software quickly. Additional skills in coding (SQL, Python or others) are a plus. • You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English. • You are adaptable and professional at all times, with enthusiasm for working as part of a team and an ability to interact with a diverse array of people.
