JOB TITLE: Aircraft Cleaner Driver
REPORTING TO: Operation Manager
LOCATION: London Gatwick Airport RH6 0NP
CONTRACT: Set days. Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 16 hours per week
PAY RATE: £13.10 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
The main purposes of the Aircraft Cleaner role are to work efficiently, as directed by relevant supervisors. As part of a team, you will assist in cleaning and restocking the aircraft to the high standards required by our customers, conduct thorough security checks of the aircraft, and always display the core values of our client.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Vacuuming carpets and wiping down equipment and surfaces.
2. Clean a range of aircraft/offices to the specification provided by managers.
3. Removing rubbish and ensuring it is properly disposed of.
4. Cleaning and restocking aircraft consumables.
5. Security checking of the aircraft for suspicious packages and reporting any findings accordingly as per the Covert Testing Procedures.
6. Working to deadlines.
7. Ability to work in a team environment and ensure familiarity with all areas of the operation and aircraft.
8. Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner while complying with the company’s expectations, rules, and procedures.
9. Assuring the proper handling of hazardous materials and correct use of uniform, safety vest, earplugs, and safety behavior actions inside and outside the aircraft.
10. Maintaining professionalism in appearance and manners towards co-workers, clients, and any other persons within the airport and work location.
11. Cleaning all seats, seatback pockets, tray tables, and replacing soiled magazines.
12. Folding blankets and storing blankets and pillows in overhead compartments.
13. Carrying out other duties within the Gatwick Operation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Very good attention to detail and observation skills.
2. Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
3. Able to work as part of a team.
4. Able to carry heavy loads and climb stairs.
5. Quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment.
6. Able to work without constant supervision and follow management instructions.
7. Reliable and flexible.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
9. Full training will be provided.
