Production Team Leader

Day shift (8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30-2:30pm Friday)
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum
Location: Camberley
Our client is a major precision manufacturing company based in Camberley and needs a Production Team Leader to join them in a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will positively lead a team of 8 individuals, which will include assembly technicians and machine operators.
Ideal candidate background will be:
1. Demonstrable supervisory or people management experience
2. Experience undertaking appraisals and performance management procedures
3. Experience of working within an Engineering Workshop
4. Experience of and ability to read Engineering Drawings
5. Experience of machine shop and/or press cell and/or sheet metal
6. A background in Manufacturing Engineering
Key responsibilities:
1. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
2. Establish and achieve team KPIs.
3. Establish and agree on SMART objectives for individuals and the team, tracking performance accordingly.
4. Conduct appraisals, provide regular and constructive feedback, and address performance and conduct issues promptly and constructively with HR support. Identify and promote training and development opportunities.
5. Manage sickness and annual leave in line with company policy.
Benefits/Other:
1. Profit Share Scheme - Whilst this is based on Company profit and is therefore not guaranteed, it is designed to pay approx. 3% of salary across a year.
2. Enhanced Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme - After 3 months service, we pay 5% where an employee pays 3%.
3. 24 days holiday (running Jan-Dec), increasing with service. 3-4 days are to be used for the December shut down. This will be worked out pro rata for part-time.
