About the Role: As SENDCo, you will lead and manage the school’s SEND provision, working closely with the Headteacher and staff to ensure high expectations and exceptional support for pupils with additional needs. Alongside this, you will teach a mixed Year 1/2 class, creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment that inspires every child to achieve their best. Key Responsibilities: Lead the school’s SEND provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and fostering a culture of inclusion. Develop, implement, and monitor individual plans to support pupils with special educational needs. Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons for a mixed Year 1/2 class. Create a nurturing and positive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and independence. Provide professional guidance and support to staff in developing inclusive teaching practices. What We’re Looking For: We are seeking a passionate educator who can demonstrate: Experience leading SEND provision in a school setting (holding or working towards the National Award for SEN Co-ordination). Proven classroom teaching experience, ideally in KS1. A commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and Gospel values. The ability to inspire and motivate pupils, staff, and families. Strong organisational and communication skills. A creative and determined approach to supporting all children to achieve their potential.
