Our client, based in Teesside, is looking for a Tank Inspector, carrying out visual inspections of all storage tanks.
Responsibilities:
* Accountable for ensuring 3 monthly In Service Tanks Inspections are performed in accordance with the procedure and due dates in the inspection plan.
* Timely reporting of all defects via check sheets with photographic records in accordance with the Inspection procedure.
* Review of QA documentation for handover work packs for any required actions.
* Specification of fabric maintenance scope in accordance with engineering standards.
* Field verification of completed in-service repairs and fabric maintenance from 3 monthly inspections at next follow up.
* Manage documentation/data/records within the electronic Document Management System.
* Ensure activities completed are fully compliant with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work applied.
* Liaise with Operations and Control of Work Supervisors to schedule and where necessary permit (under ISSOW) visual in service tank inspections.
* Report any actions, assign criticality and due dates from Tank inspections to CMMS Co-Ordinators for work order creation.
* Report any significant findings to Tank Assessors for further assessment and inform Site Operations of defects posing an immediate risk to safe operation i.e. identified loss of containment or failure in primary containment.
* Audit of Out of Service and In Service Inspections and perform audits on quality of tank repairs.
Required Education & Experience:
* Previous experience in various NDT Methods such as UT, MPI, VT, RT
* ASME Level 1 Plant Inspector
* EEMUA 159 Tank Intro Course
* Inspection experience working on Tanks, Pipelines and Pressure Vessels
* Experience in a COMAH regulated industry
* Working Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as API, EN, EEMUA & ASME
* Confined Space Entry
* Pressure Vacuum Valve Inspection
* Use of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
* Driving License
NB: The salary range for the role is £40,000-£45,000 per annum, the role will be based at the North East sites in Teesside, but frequent travel to other sites will be required. A car allowance will be included in the package to compensate for this.
