This role offers a high level of autonomy, managing all on site machinery, systems, and infrastructure to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance. As the sole engineer on site, you will have your own maintenance room, office, and stores, overseeing planned maintenance, breakdowns, and spare parts management. The role involves working with cranes, hot dip galvanizing machinery, extraction units, ash containment systems, hoists, roller doors, air lines, and general building maintenance. Key Responsibilities Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs across the site Working with cranes and hoists – must hold a MEWP (Cherry Picker) license Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical systems, including motors, inverter drives, and PLCs Managing and ordering spare parts to maintain smooth operations Ensuring compliance with LOLER and other relevant regulations Working independently while supporting production and operations teams On-call duties for emergency breakdowns Skills & Experience Required Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background Comfortable working at heights and using MEWPs / Cherry Pickers Experience with industrial machinery, cranes, and heavy equipment Ability to work autonomously, plan maintenance schedules, and manage stores Ready to Take the Next Step?
