Sofas & Stuff Ltd in Preston are recruiting for an Apprentice Upholsterer. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Furniture Manufacturer apprenticeship over the duration of 24 months.
Job description:
Working alongside experienced craftsman and technicians to learn all details of traditional and modern upholstery techniques, your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with Cutting and Sewing fabrics for upholstered furniture pieces.
• Attaching foams/fabrics/paddings/suspensions using various modern and traditional techniques including buttoning.
• Learning how to operate and maintain upholstery equipment.
• Helping to assemble and finish upholstered furniture products .
• Understanding quality control procedures and ensuring products meet Sofas and Stuff required quality control.
Requirements:
• Willingness to be a team player.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Hours of work:
Between the hours of 6:45am - 4:45pm, Monday - Friday, breaks am/pm (Paid) and 30 min lunch (Unpaid) 36-40 hour a week (dependant on age)
