About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and enhance the operational effectiveness of a thriving scaffolding company. With a strong focus on business growth and delivering top-quality service to commercial and industrial clients, this role is perfect for a well-connected construction industry professional ready to drive expansion, optimize processes, and align operations with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring projects meet client expectations, safety regulations, and quality standards.
2. Manage schedules, resources, and budgets to maximize efficiency and profitability.
3. Implement policies and best practices to enhance operational performance.
Client Relationship Management
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and service excellence.
2. Serve as the primary contact for major clients, handling communication and problem-solving.
3. Identify and leverage opportunities to expand services with current clients to boost loyalty and revenue.
Business Development and Networking
1. Leverage industry connections to secure new business and grow the client base.
2. Actively pursue new market opportunities within commercial and industrial scaffolding sectors.
3. Represent the company at events and meetings to increase visibility and attract new leads.
Health and Safety Compliance
1. Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
2. Regularly update safety policies and conduct site audits to uphold safety standards.
3. Oversee staff training and certification to ensure compliance and promote best practices.
Team Leadership and Development
1. Lead and motivate the operational team, fostering engagement and high performance.
2. Identify training needs and develop team capabilities to meet operational requirements.
3. Set performance objectives and conduct regular feedback and reviews.
Financial and Performance Management
1. Monitor and manage operational budgets to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
2. Track KPIs and report insights, suggesting improvements to business owners.
3. Contribute to strategic planning and long-term forecasting for business growth.
Key Skills and Competencies:
1. Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of scaffolding operations and industry standards.
