The role:

What your days could look like:
* Welcome and converse with guests in a polite and friendly manner whenever you engage with them
* Take guests’ orders
* Serve guests, whether its in the Living Space, Glasshouse, the Rampsbeck restaurant, via room service or at conferences and events, in a warm and welcoming way
* Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in your working environment
* Make and serve drinks and coffees to a high standard, with a knowledge of the products being served
* Share information, skills and ideas that will improve service
* Assist in the coffee and bar training of the Baristas and other floor staff
* Order coffee, breakfast stock and assist with bar stock ordering by notifying the restaurant management team of stock levels.
* Supporting the F&B Manager/ Assistant Manager in the ongoing training and development
* Supervision of functions and events in professional manner, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
* Handle guest complaints that may arise, both directly with the guest and then also with follow up-re training where necessary
* To assist in other departments where necessary
* To be aware of the operations and needs of other departments in the hotel
Job skills & requirements:
* 2 years’ experience working in a similar position
* Experience of coffee art is essential
* Confidence in using and applying technology in your day to day role
* A commitment to consistently high levels of service and a passion for the industry
* A willingness to work as a team player, a keen eye for detail and an eagerness to share information and skills that will improve service
* An ability to communicate well and work seamlessly with colleagues from all departments
* Confident, bright, outgoing personality
* Enthusiasm and positive attitude
* Good organisational skills
* Keenness to meet and exceed guest service expectations
* A desire to provide an excellent guest experience
* Records of formal inhouse/external training in either coffee, food, wine and management
