We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter/Mechanic. As the Fitter/Mechanic, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop, ensuring the smooth and efficient maintenance and repair of ground care machinery. You will uphold safety standards and ensure all equipment is serviced to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring timely completion of servicing and repairs.
2. Diagnose and repair ground care equipment, including mowers, tractors, strimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters, as well as pedestrian machinery such as walk-behind lawn mowers, powered weed brushes, and ride-on lawn mowers.
3. Implement and maintain health and safety protocols within the workshop.
4. Manage stock levels, tools, and workshop resources effectively.
5. Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely service delivery.
6. Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service schedules.
Requirements:
* Strong ability to manage teams effectively, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A valid driving licence is required for site visits.
* Industry experience.
