Our client, a well-established franchised car dealership in Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager to lead their sales department. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with a proven track record of success in the same type of role.
About the Role:
As General Sales Manager, you will oversee the car dealership’s sales operations, driving performance, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Your leadership will be key in achieving sales targets, maintaining manufacturer standards, and fostering a motivated, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and drive all aspects of the dealership’s new and used car sales operations
* Lead, inspire, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets
* Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring a seamless and exceptional sales journey
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure targets are met
* Build strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, and stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards
Key Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in a General Sales Manager role within a franchised car dealership
* Proven track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
* Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and drive performance
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
