Job Role: Estates Manager

Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs per week, 08:00-16:00
Salary: Band 7 - £24.82 per hour
Note: THIS IS A TEMPORARY ROLE - initially for approx. 3-6 months with plans to review.
Royal Oldham are looking for an Estate Manager to join their team of Estate Managers that are collectively responsible for delivering safe and compliant electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building fabric services across the Trust buildings.
You will be leading a team of trade staff to deliver a safe and compliant hospital environment for all patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring that compliance and governance follow all Trust standards and procedures, along with British Standards and good practice.
There may be occasional travel to other sites within the Trust, so you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own transport.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Manage a team of estates trades professionals and all estates contractors on-site, ensuring their compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
2. Design and deliver bespoke sustainability projects across the Trust.
3. Ensure the Estates Department provides up-to-date information and input into the Trust's performance management framework.
4. Liaise with Trust Managers to ensure a consistent approach to policies and procedures across the Trust.
5. Develop, implement, and maintain a continuous improvement programme.
6. Formulate the annual budget for Estates services in conjunction with the directorate budget holder.
7. Consult with Trade Union Representatives and Safety Representatives as appropriate.
8. Work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations at all times.
9. Ability to travel between sites.

Skills required:
1. Accredited Construction related Degree or HND or equivalent knowledge/experience to that level (Building Services Engineering preferred).
2. Experience in Building Services Engineering, Project Management, Contract Management, and Operations Management.
3. Good knowledge of UK healthcare policies, practices, delivery models, information systems, and service standards.
4. Experience of working in a reactive and pressurised environment.
5. Must have a full UK driving licence.
