Job summary Diabetes Clinical Lead - Band 8a £59,490 - £66,239 Inc HCAS per annum An exciting opportunity has developed in the Diabetes team at Bromley Healthcare. We are looking for an experienced, committed, and enthusiastic Senior Diabetes Nurse to join and manage our supportive and friendly team as a Clinical Lead. The post-holder will be responsible for the operational management of the service, ensuring that local targets are met and reported on in a timely and accurate manner. You will be clinical and also be available to offer support to junior colleagues in managing complex cases. You will be involved in developing service delivery to patients to meet national standards across all care pathways. To develop effective work relationships with key partner organisations including Primary Care, King's Hospitals Foundation Trust, tertiary centres and the voluntary sector. You will have access to clinical supervision and have regular 1.1 meetings with the Head of Neighbourhood Specialist Nursing. Interviews to be held on 29th April 2025 Main duties of the job We are looking for a highly skilled Diabetes Nurse with post graduate experience with a high degree of motivation and clinical skills, you will need a flexible approach to service provision with the ability to work as part of a team as well as individually. You will be responsible for the delivery and organisational management of the Diabetes team ensuring the services provided are of high quality, effective, well-co-ordinated, value for money and responsive to the changing needs of the local population. You will establish, maintain and monitor standards & competencies of clinical care across the Diabetes Service. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. The post holder will be up to date with current best practice and demonstrate Bromley Healthcare values in their day to day role working as part of a team.
