Our client is a Huddersfield based, family-run retail sales business. They are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised individual with a can-do attitude.
The role includes running the showroom and assisting the managing partners, as well as general duties required in being an integral part of a small but successful business.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a customer-facing role and a strong attention to detail. You will need to communicate well with a wide range of customers and build rapport.
The Showroom Assistant post is a Permanent role required to start as soon as possible.
Hours are Full-time, with some weekend working (typically 9-5 or 9-4 on weekends). Some flexibility is available for the successful candidate.
Salary will be £11.44 - £12.00 p/h, with an additional attractive performance-related bonus scheme.
Duties:
1. Manage the front desk and greet clients
2. Answer the phone and emails in an extremely professional manner
3. Assist the Managing Director and colleagues with day-to-day tasks to work as part of a team
4. General office admin, filing, and maintaining office systems
5. Maintain office correspondence, including franking and receiving post
6. Order office and warehouse supplies
7. Help with dispatch/warehousing if required
8. File historical/completed projects
9. Maintain the showroom's high standard of presentation and efficiency
10. Ensure sample displays are replenished and presentable
11. Keep storage & drawers tidy and organised
12. Prepare the showroom for client meetings and events; order in or collect food and beverages if necessary
13. Manage inventory system
14. Input orders upon receipt
15. Organise deliveries
16. Chase up quotes & enquiries
17. Keep both the showroom and kitchen stocked and replenished
18. Keep all areas of the showroom and kitchen tidy, clean, and presentable
The previous use of SAGE would be beneficial to this role too, but isn't essential.
