A very respected international client from the food process industry is looking to recruit a skilled field service engineer with good interpersonal skills to join its team in the UK. The role is an interesting and multi-faceted one which will involve a variety of involvement in different areas, including service and maintenance calls, dealing with technical enquiries, training clients on use of machinery and also helping to sell the companies equipment and service contracts to clients (for which you will be rewarded via a company bonus scheme).
The Field Service Engineer role presents an excellent opportunity for a service engineer who also wishes to be more client facing and broaden their skill base, building relationships with clients across the Southern England territory.
The company is currently experiencing a sustained period of success, with new products being launched continuously, this is an ideal time to join and build a successful career with a market leading company within the food process sector.
Due to the nature of the role applicants must be flexible to on rare occasion work outside of standard 9-5 hours as required (the company will take this into account with time off in lieu) and also flexible in attitude and willing to take on responsibility outside purely dealing with engineering matters and being an ambassador for the company and its services. The ability to be personable and deal with clients in a professional and friendly manner will be key to the success of the role.
Essential requirements include:
1. Mechanical or Electrical engineering / service background.
2. Full Clean Driving License.
3. Willingness to travel and stay away from home 2 nights or more each week.
4. Positive “Can-do” attitude.
5. Good relationship building skills.
6. Personable and able to deal well with clients in a professional manner.
7. Keen for success, keen to progress.
In return the role offers a good basic salary of approx £40,000 (negotiable), use of a company vehicle (Ford Ranger), with the opportunity to earn continual bonuses, as well as joining an internationally renowned manufacturer of quality process equipment and all the opportunities for personal progression that will present.
