About The Opportunity:
This Business Development Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join a leading international brand as it accelerates growth across Africa, particularly West Africa. The role involves driving sales, expanding market presence, and developing long-term partnerships with distributors and licensees. You will play a crucial role in shaping the brand’s success in existing and new markets, ensuring strong distribution, visibility, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sales & brand development across Africa, with a focus on West Africa.
Identify & execute market entry strategies for new territories.
Manage and influence relationships with distributors, licensees, and local partners.
Drive distribution, visibility & sales growth in all relevant retail channels.
Develop & oversee brand-building initiatives to enhance market presence.
Manage P&L performance to maximise profitability.
Work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams.
Spend time in-market to build relationships and ensure execution of business plans.
Your Experience and Skills:
Proven experience in international sales, business development, and brand management, ideally in Africa.
A working professional level in French is mandatory.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, working with distributors and licensees.
Experience in P&L management, market expansion, and FMCG sales strategy.
Ability to work in fragmented retail landscapes, driving results in complex markets.
A commercial mindset, with a passion for growing brands internationally.
Comfortable with frequent travel to international markets.
Must be UK-based with the right to work in the UK.
Experience in food and beverages or FMCG.
