Job Title: Site Quality Specialist

Job Description Summary: NRL are seeking a dedicated Site Quality Specialist to support our clients engineering and delivery teams in achieving exceptional quality and compliance performance within substation projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving a culture of quality and compliance across substation operations, with a specific focus on quality planning, control, inspection, and audit during construction and off-site manufacture. The role involves implementing aspects of our Integrated Management System (IMS) while ensuring compliance with the UK client’s regulations. This advert is for two positions, working at two different sites which are specified below.
Sites
Errocthy Substation, Tummell Bridge
Walpole Substation, Walpole
Duration: 12 months with a likelihood of extension
Job Duties:
1. Support project teams in developing substation-specific quality plans and arrangements, including inspection and test plans, and review for continual improvement.
2. Coordinate with operational and site delivery teams to ensure actions meet quality plans and IMS requirements for substations.
3. Provide project and site management with effective quality assurance and control advice for substation projects.
4. Lead the collation of project data for quality-related KPIs, including client-specific measures, and develop plans to meet objectives and targets.
5. Work with the Quality Manager to develop, manage, implement, and monitor the Quality Management System aspects of the IMS for substation projects.
6. Establish, manage, and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, specific to substation projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
7. BSc, Diploma, or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
8. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a construction environment, preferably within substation projects.
9. Working knowledge of Electricity in Construction, specifically in Cabling, Transmission, and Substations.
10. Full driving licence.
11. Good working knowledge of the CDM Regulations.
Schedule and Work Activities:
12. 40 hours a week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project needs.
13. Work schedule and locations may change frequently, with required travel to substation project sites.
Travel:
14. National travel required, with varying levels of travel depending on project and client requirements.
15. Must be able to arrange their own travel and accommodation.
Rate:
16. £375 per day LTD
