Our Client is one of the leading Infrastructure organisations in the UK and is building one of the largest projects in Europe.
This project involves huge complexity and an enormous environmental aspect that is vital to its success.
We are looking for an Environmental Manager who has significant experience with large complex projects. The crucial aspect of this role is to lead and manage contractors and consultancies with knowledge, influence, and integrity.
You will need to be a Chartered Environmentalist or be Chartered in an Engineering field with substantial experience in Environmental and NEC3 contracts. You should have a strong understanding of applicable UK environmental law and other relevant construction regulations, including Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.

2. Commercial awareness, including understanding of cost delivery, schedule targets, and the need to deliver an integrated solution that meets all functional requirements.
You will have overall accountability for leading environmental technical assurance in the Integrated Project Team through the production, checking, and submission of assurance evidence for technical stage gates, ensuring that the design and construction of the assets comply with the technical and sponsor requirements, as well as environmental commitments, laws, and regulations.
You will also be responsible for supporting the Head of Engineering and Environment in organizing, coordinating, and undertaking the environmental element of the risk-based technical assurance of the works performed by the Integrated Project Team (IPT).
This role is based 3 days a week from any office in London, Bicester, Milton Keynes, or Birmingham.
