Job description
A fantastic opportunity has become available at Playhouse Day Nursery. They are looking for an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join their setting, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children’s play, learning & development.
Duties Will include
• Caring for children
• Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs
• Supporting children's play and learning
• Supporting children's development
• Adhere to all safeguarding practices
• Preparing snacks and help with their feeding and cleaning
As an apprentice you will be included on a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship, this will involve a Regional Trainer meeting with you once a month, in the work place.
To become an apprentice, you must:
be 16 or over
not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll:
complete a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard
have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
learn and train for a specific job
get paid and receive holiday leave
get hands-on experience in a real job
study for at least 20% of your working hours
complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
be on a career path with lots of future potential
be entitled to a TOTUM membership
Future Prospects
This vacancy is for a permanent position (for at least the duration of the Apprenticeship) with the possibility of fulltime employment upon the successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Skills required
Experience in an early years setting is essential plus the following skills
•Ability to use computer
•Adaptable
•The ability to work as part of a team
•Must be able to follow instructions from the room leader
Qualifications required
GCSE Maths & English grade 4/C is preferred
Level 2 Early Years Diploma/Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification preferred

Things to consider
Working a minimum of 30 hours per week, earliest start 7:30am latest finish time 6pm
