Certain Advantage are working with a global named fuel company, they are looking to recruit a Terminal Operator for an initial 12-month contract with the potential to go permanent for the right individual.

The Role
* The Terminal Operator is generally responsible for the safe receipt, storage and delivery of bulk liquids of a flammable or hazardous characteristic including the general upkeep and security of the establishment.
* To help deliver safe terminal operations, tank farm, road loading and jetty.
* To ensure equipment is properly operated and cared for to minimise the need for plant maintenance.
* Operators must ensure safe running of the terminal through full compliance to procedures, perform preventative maintenance, product handling and testing, and marine operations.
* Operators at our client's site fulfil a safety-critical position; they must be fully signed off as competent in tank farm operations, control panel operations and jetty operations.
* They must work with their team to support the wider terminal team towards business and safety goals, including operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The Individual
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Be willing to learn and open to challenge and change; a positive, solution-seeking can-do attitude is required.
* Basic IT skills to maintain SharePoint records and logs.
* Ability to communicate effectively both written and face to face.
* Perform or assist in the completion of regular preventive and corrective maintenance duties.
* A knowledge of Product Quality compliance, terminal operations, HSSE, maritime management, and control of work is required to be successful in the position.
* Be capable of successfully completing FLBM sign off for tank-farm operations, control panel operations and jetty operations.
Working Hours
Day shift for training then Continental Shift Pattern. Flexy Shift available.
Site is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is a critical infrastructure site in the UK.
