Private Client (Wills and Probate) Solicitor, Associate, Senior Associate, and Partner

About the Role
Our client, a highly respected Legal 500 law firm, is seeking a passionate and experienced Wills and Probate Solicitor or Lawyer to bolster their vibrant Private Client team at their England hub in Cirencester. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive fee earner to work with high-net-worth clients, providing expert advice and handling complex estate and succession planning matters. The role offers a clear pathway for career advancement within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on all matters related to wills, trusts, estates, and probate.
2. Estate Planning: Draft and advise on wills, trusts, and inheritance tax planning for clients, ensuring compliance with the latest legal frameworks.
3. Probate and Estate Administration: Manage the probate process from start to finish, including obtaining grants of probate, handling asset distribution, and advising on any related disputes.
4. Trusts and Tax Advice: Offer tailored advice on trust creation and administration, including tax-efficient estate planning solutions.
5. Contentious Probate: Support or represent clients in contentious probate matters, working closely with the firm’s litigation specialists.
6. Supervisory: Mentor, upskill, and supervise junior fee earners and support staff.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the Private Client team, contributing to team knowledge-sharing and training sessions.
8. Client Development: Assist in business development activities, such as seminars, networking events, and content creation, to help expand the firm’s client base.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Either an NQ, Associate, Senior Associate, Head of Department or Partner.
2. Strong understanding of inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and other relevant tax regulations.
3. Excellent communication skills, with a client-centric approach.
4. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing cases and deadlines.
5. Experience in handling contentious probate matters (desirable).
6. Business development skills to help grow the firm's client base.
