Job overview
This post would suit someone who is an experienced practitioner in the field of mental health. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual with a strong interest in the perinatal field.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be working with pregnant service-users in the antenatal and post-natal period who present with complexity and significant levels of risk. They will be working with the wider systems such as Mother and Baby Units, Maternity Services, Universal services, Childrens Social Care and Secondary mental health services.
The post holder will be undertaking initial assessments and reviews and be able to manage a caseload of women within a clinic setting, as well as some home visiting.
The role would suit someone who is passionate about working within a Multi-disciplinary team consisting of Perinatal Consultant Psychiatrist, experienced psychotherapists, perinatal community mental health practitioners, occupational therapist, nursery nurses and excellent team secretaries/administrators.

Probationary Period: This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period.
Starting with NELFT: NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary, with a minimum of £4,551 and maximum of £5,735, pro rata for part-time staff.

Knowledge
