A Vacancy at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Care Team within Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
Based at either Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby and Scunthorpe General Hospital, we are looking to recruit both permanent and fixed term Trust Grade CT Level doctors to join our existing team within the Acute Medicine Department. The advertised full-time posts of Trust Grade (CT) includes full on-call rota. This is a flexible role and you may be asked to work outside of the standard acute rota pattern.
We can offer training and development opportunities and will support our workforce to enable them to provide a first class service. If you are passionate about delivering high quality patient care and want to be involved shaping services for the future, we would be keen to hear from you.
Our team of highly trained and experienced Acute Care Physicians are continuously looking for opportunities to develop and improve services and promote innovation. We are looking for individuals who are keen and interested in delivering care for patients in the ever-changing and challenging environment of modern day healthcare.
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is part of one of the largest acute and community Group arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Group has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.
Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.
As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.
We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Group and our community.
The post would suite an enthusiastic team player dedicated to high quality patient care. The successful candidate will work alongside consultants and specialty doctors at all times, to train and carry out the following tasks:

• Review all new medical admissions when rostered within the timeframe of the operational standard for the AAU until patients are either discharged from AAU or transferred to the specialty ward.
• Manage short stay acute medical admissions
• Deliver effective, safe, and timely care in line with the operating standards of the AAU
• Ensure appropriate handover of care at the end of a shift to the next responsible clinicians.
• Ensure timely completion of all documentation pertinent to an admission, transfer, discharge, or death, in line with hospital standards.
As a Trust we are keen to offer and encourage flexible working opportunities to address health and wellbeing and work-life balance for our employees, this will have a positive impact on the care we provide.
