Job summary We have a fantastic opportunity for passionate and committed care assistants to join our inpatient unit, Sylvan Ward on a bank contract basis. Our 12-bed unit is a well-supported setting where you work alongside a multidisciplinary team of fellow Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, specialist Medical team and Allied Health Professionals. Additionally, our volunteers bring plenty of positivity and invaluable support to our ward. This diversity of skills, knowledge and experience is fundamental to excellent care, and the wards friendly and supportive atmosphere. Main duties of the job The Hospice Team work with patients and their families who: Have a condition or conditions requiring symptom management whilst in the last chapter of their life Have a severe chronic disease for whom a deterioration may be life-limiting Are in frail overall health and at risk of sudden deterioration This rewarding role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients and their families get the care they need.
