Clinical Lead and Service Manager for Public Health Nursing
The Clinical Lead and Service Manager for Public Health Nursing will assist the Divisional Nurse in the delivery of the professional nursing and health visiting agenda within their respective specialty. To assume overall leadership responsibility for nursing within their Directorate and will have direct professional responsibility to the Divisional Nurse.
The post holder will provide managerial and professional leadership for nursing within their Directorate, providing Directorate service delivery and professional advice to the Divisional Director and Directorate Manager on clinical nursing issues to ensure high quality and effective services within their specialty. The post holder will support the Divisional Nurse in leading nursing practice and will be expected to develop innovative practice in relation to the provision of nursing services to patients. The post holder will be expected to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) discharges its functions effectively and efficiently.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage and provide sustainability within the Public Health Nursing service and have the expertise, accountability and responsibility to lead and manage the service. Deliver the Health Visiting Improvement Programme, support and collaborate with the teams to implement the best model and structure to achieve this.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* Currently registered as a Nurse and Health Visitor with the NMC
* Hold appropriate management qualification or professional qualification
* Evidence of CPD
* Knowledge and understanding of wider political and social drivers that influence service delivery of health services to children and young people
* Experience of managing difficult situations and resolving conflicts or concerns
* Experience of management of concerns and implementing change as a result of learning
* Able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, displaying credibility, influence and political acumen
