Your Role:
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for optimising large-scale energy systems as well as businesses? As the Asset & Operational Performance Manager, you’ll lead a team of 17 skilled professionals dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, performance, and sustainability of our energy portfolio. This role is pivotal in embedding a performance-centred culture, implementing strategic improvements, and maximising asset value across EIS, driving us closer to a sustainable future.

Oversee the portfolio optimisation of generating assets to maximise revenue while minimising controllable costs, using data-driven insights to identify, plan, and deliver performance improvement projects.
Develop a centralised strategy for services such as training, apprenticeship support, fleet management, and shared services across EIS, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Consolidate performance metrics and conduct detailed portfolio analysis to identify gaps, diagnose causes, and implement effective improvement projects.
Develop and establish prioritisation structures that ensure resources are deployed effectively to meet EIS’s strategic goals.
Own high-value contracts, from initial formation through implementation, to optimise operational resources and ensure effective asset management.
Drive and track key performance indicators to maintain ‘world-class’ operational standards, supporting the E.ON Asset Management Strategy. Profile:
What we need from you
Commitment to developing and leading teams that strive for operational excellence, achieving performance targets aligned with EIS’s long-term goals.
Extensive operational experience in (or working alongside) heat- & power generation.
Proven background in managing complex contracts, overseeing budgets, and implementing cost-saving measures.
Ability to conduct detailed portfolio analysis to measure improvements and design comprehensive project scopes.
Experience in developing long-term asset management and improvement strategies.
Excellent communication skills and confident with engaging with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. It Would Be Great if You Had:
A degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on energy infrastructure.
NEBOSH Certification to ensure a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.
A Project Management Certification, highlighting your expertise in overseeing complex projects.
