Can you advocate for Scotland’s contemporary art community? Scottish Contemporary Art Network is recruiting a new Director to lead us in our next stage.
SCAN is looking for someone to deliver our vision of a Scotland where everyone has the right, and the opportunity, to experience the benefits of contemporary art. Our new Director will provide strategic and operational direction at a key moment. The Director will listen to our membership and the wider sector and work in partnership to develop strategic and high impact advocacy, development and engagement activities, act as a champion for contemporary visual art, and uphold the organisation’s values.
We are looking for a Director who, with the support of our board, staff, membership and partners, will ensure that artists, art professionals and art organisations are supported in their aims, valued for their contribution, and resourced for change. The role is suitable for someone who can bring knowledge of cultural work, commitment to change and the potential to respond to fast moving circumstances.

Salary: £40,000 (pro rata salary £32,000 if contracted at 0.8FTE)
Place of work: SCAN’s office is at the Briggait in Glasgow. We offer hybrid and flexible working where appropriate.
