The HR Executive will play a key role in managing end-to-end recruitment, industrial relations, and HR operations within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting retail HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and driving talent acquisition strategies tailored for retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
* Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent for retail operations, including store staff, managers, and corporate roles.
* Conduct candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
* Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create accurate job descriptions.
* Manage recruitment campaigns across multiple channels (online job boards, social media, referrals).
* Maintain an up-to-date recruitment database to track candidates and pipeline.
* Monitor recruitment metrics and report on time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and quality of hires.
Industrial Relations:
* Act as a liaison between management and employees, fostering positive employee relations and resolving conflicts as they arise.
* Provide advice and support on industrial relations matters, including employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace disputes.
* Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies, particularly in relation to wage structures, working conditions, and hours.
* Manage employee engagement initiatives to maintain a positive work environment and improve retention.
* Prepare and deliver training on industrial relations best practices and legal compliance for management teams.
* Represent the company in labor-related hearings, negotiations, or disputes, if required.
Retail HR Operations:
* Oversee and manage day-to-day HR operations across multiple retail stores, ensuring consistency in HR practices.
* Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures specific to the retail environment.
* Handle employee performance management, including performance reviews, goal setting, and development plans.
* Assist with payroll administration, benefits enrollment, and recordkeeping for retail staff.
* Monitor attendance, leave requests, and ensure timely processing of HR-related documentation.
* Work closely with retail managers to address staffing needs, including temporary/seasonal support during peak periods.
* Support training and development initiatives, ensuring retail staff have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Compliance & Reporting:
* Ensure all HR practices comply with relevant employment laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
* Prepare and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant legislation.
* Generate reports on HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, performance, etc.) to inform management decisions.
Employee Engagement & Welfare:
* Develop and implement employee engagement programs to enhance workplace culture and morale.
* Organize regular feedback sessions and surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and take corrective actions.
* Support wellness initiatives and ensure employees’ well-being in the retail environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
* Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruitment, industrial relations, and retail HR operations.
* Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations, HR best practices, and retail operations.
* Skills:
