You will support and compliment the recruitment, preboarding and onboarding service for all new employees across the organisation. Your role is essential in ensuring that the relevant compliance is complete in order for us to employ the best talent at the right time for the young people we support.

The role of the Recruitment and HR Support Apprentice
The Apprentice position will support both the Recruitment & HR teams in order to build a solid understanding of both areas of the workplace, giving the ability to decide which direction your career would like to follow.
The role supports the effective preboarding and onboarding processes to ensure that all newly appointed staff (both internal/ external) experience a smooth transition into their new roles. Working collaboratively with the Onboarding Development Coach and HR & Recruitment Coordinator you will ensure completion of all compliance activity surrounding new appointments to ensure they meet the organisations screening standards, these include Right to work, DBS and Safeguarding Checks. You will also get involved in the delivery of an effective service in relation to pre-interview screening, testing and assessment as required. We will support you throughout all these stages, training, mentoring and supporting you throughout your development in the role.
Main responsibilities include:
2. Act as first point of contact for the recruitment team, deal with initial enquiries, answer telephones and direct queries to the correct contact.
3. Gain full understanding of the candidate attraction and selection processes, including the legal regulatory and ethical requirements and appropriate codes of practice.
4. Assist in the recruitment and selection processes by effectively liaising with the candidates and internal teams to manage interviews and inductions.
5. Work with the Onboarding Development Coach to ensure that all new starter data is updated into the HR System and that individual electronic employee files are created and completed with all the relevant onboarding information for all new employees. This will also include updating the system in accordance with statutory legal requirements from OfSTED, CCRAG, CQC etc and that new hires information is communicated to relevant personnel and departments with Prior’s Court.
6. Ensure hiring manager and associated team/s are ready to welcome new staff members and that departmental inductions, buddy’s, equipment, IT access and required training are in place.
7. Initiate, build and maintain relationships with prospective candidates to promote Priors Court as a great place to work
8. Provide support to all new joiners in connection with the e-learning required prior to start date liaising with the training department as and when necessary, providing information to payroll as required.
9. Support the HR team in ensuring all Right To work approvals are in place for all staff who work on a visa or have a temporary leave to remain.
If you have some work experience that would be great but is by no means essential. We will provide you with all the support and training you need to ensure you reach your full potential, however we would ideally look for applicants to have the following personal attributes:
10. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well (written & verbal).
11. Self-motivated with the ability to be proactive and use own initiative.
12. Organised to take independent action to fulfil tasks but can also work collaboratively as part of a team.
13. Can work accurately with attention to detail.
14. Understands what great customer service/experience is and has the ability to deliver it
15. Can pay attention, interact and support a conversation, probing for further information when required.
16. Willing to take instruction and learn/develop within the role.
17. Basic use of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook if possible
