A fast-growing business at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution is seeking an innovative and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and manufacture of its advanced EV charging systems. With a growing international footprint and involvement in pioneering UK projects, this company designs, manufactures, commissions, and supports end-to-end commercial charging infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement efficient production processes for EV charging system manufacturing
* Ensure production complies with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards
* Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment, ensuring uptime and efficiency
* Work with design teams to scale product specifications into workable manufacturing processes
* Identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and drive process optimisation
* Create and maintain documentation including SOPs, workflows, and maintenance schedules
* Train technicians and operators on production processes and equipment usage
* Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance production performance
* Liaise with Quality Engineering to resolve any quality issues and implement improvements
* Analyse production metrics to inform and deliver continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to support the supply chain and material availability
* Assist in implementing JIT strategies and monitor inventory levels to reduce waste
* Engage with suppliers to solve production-related challenges and ensure material compliance
* Provide engineering support to ensure day-to-day operational readiness
* Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to align production objectives with broader business goals
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential
* Experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role involving electric systems, ideally in the EV or power sector
* Good working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
* Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing tools
* Hands-on experience with power electronics, connectors, and electrical system components
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong organisational and project management abilities
