An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Co-Production Officer to work with Worcestershire's Local Area partnership.
Improving strategic co-production with children and young people is one of two priority improvement actions identified following the April 2024 SEND Ofsted and CQC inspection. This role will support in understanding and hearing the voice of children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Worcestershire and the wider engagement and co-production with Children and Young People to ensure that their views inform what we do and reflect what is important to them.
The SEND & AP local area partnership consists of Worcestershire County Council and NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board, and Worcestershire Parent Carer Forum. The position will work across the partnership but will be held within Worcestershire County Council.
Purpose of the job:
* To drive forward positive change in how we genuinely co-produce with children and young people with (SEND), raising the standard, quality, and consistency of co-production across the Worcestershire Local Area partnership.
* To present and advocate the views of children and young people at Partnership Boards and across the Local Area Partnership.
* To develop a network of young people that influence change across Worcestershire.
* To ensure children & young people aged 0 to 25, with a diverse range of special educational needs and disabilities can engage in meaningful co-production.
* To co-ordinate the production, launch, and rollout of the co-production strategy across the local area partnership and communities, to include the parent carer forum, SENDIASS, educational establishments, and community groups.
* To provide support, advice, and training across the partnership to enhance colleagues and partners' ability to effectively co-produce with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and improve outcomes resulting from co-production, fostering a change in culture around co-production across the partnership.
* To monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of co-production activities.
