An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated band 4/5 pharmacy technicians to work as part of our Royal South Hants and University Hospital Southampton dispensary teams at University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be joining our friendly team of Pharmacy Technicians, also working alongside Pharmacy Support Workers, and Pharmacists to develop and deliver agreed services across the south of the UK. You will also be a role model for trainee staff as a teaching hospital we also train pre-registration pharmacists and technicians

We are seeking a full time (37.5hrs per week) Band 4 or 5 pharmacy technician to join our dispensary based team to support pharmaceutical services across both both primary and secondary care sectors.
In a rewarding role you will be helping supply and oversee the flow of hospital discharges, inpatient medication supply, hospital Controlled Drug's as well as working independently aiding outside speciality units (Mental Health and Palliative Care)
You will have experience in prioritizing workload and optimising workflow as well as supporting all grades of staff to aid the delivery of our services.
Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working with a wide range of people including patients, doctors, and other healthcare staff as a pharmacy representative.
You will act as a role model and mentor to junior staff; providing support, guidance and training as needed in order to develop staff.
You must be a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician, a nationally recognised checking qualification is desirable but not essential.
