Job summary An opportunity has arisen to apply for a role as Support Worker within the East Complex Needs Service. The Complex Needs Services (CNS) plays a role in delivering mental health care for adults with personality-based difficulties and complex trauma. The post-holder will be part of a team that helps co-ordinate and implement direct and indirect psychological care to our client group, whilst also helping to support the wider system that works with our clients. The post-holder will join a supportive and friendly team which includes multi-disciplinary professionals. Supervision will be provided frequently and it would help if the applicant has knowledge and skills of working with personality based difficulties and complex trauma. CNS value innovative practice and look for candidates who can support ideas for service improvement and development. We are looking for someone who can contribute to the vision for the service, working closely with colleagues in different parts of the system, including primary care and the third sector services as part of the wider support for clients. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions and other aspects of the service user's care plan under the guidance of the multi-disciplinary team inclusive of occupational therapists, psychiatric nurses, therapists, psychologists and consultant psychiatrists. This is a varied role and applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, person-centred approaches to care and utmost respect and compassion for the people we serve. You will work as part of a large team of multi skilled, experienced colleagues who will be able to support to deliver safe and effective care.
