We have an exciting new opportunity to join our business as Technology Transformation Director, working closely with our leaders and across the technology function, as well as the wider business, to lead the strategic technology transformation programmes, supporting delivery of the business strategy. You will be accountable for the successful delivery of projects and programmes and be the principal agent of change in the Technology. Working with stakeholders and technical resource to help design and identify the right approach to buy, build and source new technologies in support of the new modern architecture being deployed. You will be a strategic thinker that can translate the business needs of an organisation into business solutions that are primarily focused on technology. This is a hybrid role based in our Swindon office. Your responsibilities will include: Work with Business Change, IT Leadership team, Senior managers and product managers to identify and plan strategic technology initiatives. Work with the Technology "Heads of", SDM's, Change, Architects and Product Managers - building collaborative teams to drive the initiatives/projects. Work with other business solution managers to build best practice and consistency. Work with the teams to effectively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and challenges, and have full oversight to manage/ address and/or provide timely communication/escalation. Be across the risk, challenges and dependencies that sit across the teams working on the strategic technology initiatives. Prepared to challenge assumptions and timelines to drive deeper understanding and increased confidence in all parties. Support governance implementation in workstreams ensuring that it aligns with the wider business change and Transformation Office requirements. Provide assurance that the correct design, delivery and where used, development processes are being followed and governance is in place. Production of high-level roadmap tracking initiatives / workstreams aligned to Transformation office requirements. Provide support and guidance to colleagues around project management, work planning and tracking as required. Support preparation of business cases, budget tracking and forecasting leveraging guidelines and documents set out by the Transformation office. Identifying ways of improving efficiencies in the delivery process. What will you need to succeed? A background in fast moving technology project environments. Track record of programme delivery. Understanding of Agile delivery and Product lead change. Good understanding of infrastructure/development methods and frameworks PRINCE II / MSP Certification beneficial. Financial services experience would be highly beneficial. An understanding of software development principles and practices. Evidence of delivering large scale programmes successfully. Experience delivering corporate applications such as HRIS, Finance GL or ERP. Demonstrable effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with a passion in making a difference. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively. Continuous improvement skills. Have an adaptable approach to business preparation to support the Business strategy. Understand the external landscape.
