Food Technology Teacher The PRIDE Academy is a secondary special school for students with social, emotional and mental health needs in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It currently offers 120 places to pupils aged 11-19 who thrive on the varied curriculum that has an emphasis on practical skills and enrichment opportunities. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our supportive teaching team. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and guide students in learning essential culinary skills, food science, and nutrition in a way that connects to their broader learning journey and personal development. Key Responsibilities: To effectively plan lessons that are stimulating, relevant and well-structured to a wide range of abilities, social, emotional and communication needs To organise a person centred learning environment allowing students to take ownership of their learning and ambitions To track the progress of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs Key Requirements: Hold a relevant degree of equivalent qualification Hold a recognised full teaching qualification such as QTS or be willing to undergo teacher training in line with current regulations Experience of working with students with Social, emotional and mental health needs The PRIDE Academy is part of Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust, an established family of specialist academies and college centres that provide for over 1500 pupils and students with a wide range of learning abilities and additional needs.
