This market-leading profitable organisation is recruiting for a night shift HGV Technician at their Glasgow workshop. The position is to work night shifts (4 nights per week) in their fleet workshop on a range of HGVs and trailers, joining a friendly team in a well-equipped, safe workshop; with ongoing training on new vehicle products, great earning potential and fantastic benefits, detailed below.
The role:
* Service, maintain and repair customer fleets of HGVs and Trailers
* Working with a “right first time” ethos, you will have the time and equipment you need to do your work properly
* Diagnose faults using manufacturer and generic electronic diagnosis equipment
* Basic salary is between £52 - 53k depending on experience and qualifications, overtime is available – realistic earnings for one of their mechanics would be £55-60k+ pa, based on just a little overtime each week.
* Working 4 x 12 hour night shifts, no weekends
* The role is based to the East side of Glasgow and offers free parking on site.
The HGV Technician should:
* Be a fully qualified vehicle technician, HGV technician or trailer fitter with NVQ level 3, IMI apprenticeship, City and Guilds level 2, or equivalent qualifications or experience
* Have good experience of working as a mechanic on a range of HGVs and traliers or just trailers
* Have a full driving licence, we are especially interested in speaking to technicians with an HGV licence but this is not essential.
