The purpose of this role is to undertake research and analytical work in support of the operational requirements of the unit. To analyse a wide range of data, information and intelligence on crime and law enforcement matters as they impact at a tactical, operational or strategic level. About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Criminal Intelligence Analyst to join the Major Investigation team (MIT) within Specialist Crime Division based at Osprey House in Paisley. As a Criminal Intelligence Analyst within the Major Investigation Team, you will play a pivotal role in tackling some of the most complex and high-profile criminal investigations, including homicides and other large-scale cases. Your work will involve conducting detailed intelligence analysis to uncover critical links, identity suspects, and support operational decision-making. You will leverage data, analytical tools, and intelligence techniques to support ongoing investigations through the delivery of insightful analytical products. Proven experience in a research or analytical environment is essential. Professional training in intelligence analysis with related certifications is desirable.
