Quality lies at the heart of HiDef's services and the company is looking to recruit a (Flight) Operations Controller to join our Operations team. This position offers significant opportunities for the right person who will be enthusiastic, methodical, diligent, and an excellent team player with effective communication skills. The Role : Reporting to the Senior Operations Controllers (Team Leaders) you will be responsible for the day-to-day flight operations including planning survey flights and associated progress operations, data processing and management services. You will assist with effective delivery of our core operations, maintain crucial business records and have regular contact with internal and external stakeholders. Location : this position will be based at our Head Office in Lillyhall, Cumbria. Principal Accountabilities : Liaise with aircraft providers, daily, to maintain and deliver our flight schedule. Be responsible to check the weather forecasts over survey areas. Maintain our data library to a high standard in keeping with our internal processes. To be able to analyse and produce reports base don client data for operations and other areas of the business. Be responsible for managing and processing data, daily, from multiple sources. To maintain and help develop our document library and relevant processes. To support the Senior Operations Controllers (Team Leaders) and Operations Manager with daily responsibilities. To gain a working knowledge of the overall Projects process. To be able to effectively communicate with our clients using accurate information. To work closely with our Projects team to ensure deadlines for projects are met. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience : Excellent team-working skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work across multiple tasks and meet defined timelines. Highly motivated, attention to detail with the ability to multi task. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with technical specialists, converse confidently, and be able to professional challenge their proposals. Excellent IT skills, using MS Office software including experience of MS Excel. Desirable Educated to degree level or equivalent. Experience in process development. Experience of customer facing roles with the ability to anticipate customer and stakeholder requirements. Good understanding of data management.
