About the job you’re considering
Capgemini UK is seeking an exceptional leader to join as Director, Cloud Strategist – Energy Transition & Utilities (ET&U). In this senior role, you will lead the strategic direction and growth of cloud within our ET&U market unit across the UK. Working as part of the Cloud Center of Excellence, you will collaborate with sector leaders to drive large cloud deals spanning multiple technology domains such as Cloud strategy & operating model transformation, Industry cloud solutions, Application modernisation, Platform Engineering, Data & AI, and Data center exit.
This role involves orchestrating deals, solutions, and capabilities from across Capgemini and partners, requiring a C-Suite influencer with proven experience in deal shaping, pitching, and negotiation at CxO level. You will also respond to RFx tenders from regulated industry clients.
The role combines experience in Energy Transition and Utilities sectors with expertise in cloud-enabled transformation.
Hybrid working: The work location varies based on role, needs, and business requirements, including company offices, client sites, and home, but not 100% remote.
Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks including identity, nationality/immigration status, employment history, and criminal record check.
Your role
* Achieve KPIs: Sales Bookings, Industry Solution Go-to-market, Deal Shaping & Closure, Client C-Suite engagement, and Solution Proposition Quality.
* Expand cloud business in Energy & Utilities sectors in line with UK 3-Year Plan.
* Lead large cloud-driven strategic deals across industries and clients.
* Understand client requirements and develop supportive propositions.
* Build CxO relationships with clients, partners, and advisors.
* Develop opportunities across Capgemini to win cloud deals.
* Create industry-relevant cloud sales propositions and strategies.

Your skills and experience
* Deep understanding of Energy & Utilities industry and transformation trends.
* Ability to build influential relationships to shape and close opportunities.
* Experience in Solution Sales, PreSales, or Technical sales within relevant sectors.
* Strong technical and functional knowledge of modern technology architectures.
* Proven success in closing significant deals profitably.
* Experience handling RFPs, ITTs, and advisor-led processes.
* Knowledge of market shifts involving operating model transformation, operational technology, and cloud solutions.
* Experience navigating large matrixed organizations.
Skills
* Ability to work with executive stakeholders to align on opportunities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong knowledge of Cloud Service Providers and partner solutions.
* Ability to deliver technical demos and presentations.
