We are looking for 6 Stone Circle Experience Hosts to join our team. The role is part time and permanent with varying shift patterns available across the year for each of the 6 roles. Please see the additional information document for more details.
You will deliver tours at either end of our opening hours, either early morning access, ranging from 05.15am - 09:00am in the summer, or evening access tours, ranging from 6:15pm - 9pm in the summer. Due to daylight hours and periods of rest for the grass, tours are variable across the year so your working hours will change dramatically from winter to summer (see additional document for details). For this reason, there is the option for salaries to be annualised, spreading your salary across 12 consistent monthly payments.

As a Stone Circle Experience host, you will join an amazing team of employees and volunteers, making sure visitors have a great time from the moment they arrive until they say goodbye.
The Stone Circle Access Host plays an essential role in giving our visitors a unique and wonderful VIP experience during our out of hours Stone Circle visits. Working in pairs, you will provide a warm welcome to a diverse range of visitors to this historic site, and lead a tour of the inner stone circle and wider henge monument. You will be working alongside our on-site security team, drivers, and management team to give our visitors a truly unique experience. A full training programme will be available to you so knowledge of the site, although preferable, is not essential.
As a Stone Circle Experience Host, you will be responsible for providing a world-class VIP experience to our guests, facilitating not only a safe and well-organised visit into our iconic stone circle, but also, with your enthusiastic and engaging storytelling skills, ensuring that they have a special, memorable experience that they will never forget.
You will be responsible for meeting and greeting the visitors, checking their bookings and any additional needs/requests they have. Across a one-hour tour, you and your colleague will each guide a group of 25 on a tour of the Stones as well as pointing out relevant historical features in the surrounding landscape.
You will also be responsible for managing the safety of your tours and be ready to adapt to weather conditions.
To be considered as a Stone Circle Experience Host, you'll need:
1. Outstanding levels of customer care and visitor experience.
2. Ability to engage and captivate a large and diverse group
3. Awareness of Health & Safety principles
4. Ability to use initiative to overcome practical issues
5. A passion for heritage, its conservation, protection and engagement with communities.
